While I was looking for a dentist who could make me a Dental Emergencies Boisbriand, I ended up finding a former classmate. I could not believe my eyes when I saw his name listed on the clinic’s website. I remembered this name. When we were in high school, it was hard to pronounce for all the teachers. It was a name that once you learnt how to spell it, you would not forget it that easily.
As soon as I recognized it, I called the clinic and took an appointment. I was sure that he won’t remember my name when he would see it on his patients’ list. Though I was convinced that he would recognized my face.
I waited for the three days to pass and then I went for my appointment. The receptionist greeted me and asked me for my medical card. She gave me a form to fill and asked me kindly to have a seat on one of the chairs in the waiting area.
Once I filled in the form I stood up and walked towards the reception desk. The receptionist stretched her arm as if she was expecting me. I handed her the form and returned to my seat.
Ten minutes later, my doctor came and called my name. I looked at him and I noted that he did not changed much. The last time I had seen him was close to twenty two years ago. If I would have met him on the street, I would have recognized him.
When he pronounced my name I saw that it did not ring any bell to him. Just as I expected. His eyes were screening the waiting area, waiting to see which one of the people seated there was his next patient. When I stood up, he had no reaction. Except for a formal smile, that all practitioners show their patients.
As I got closer, I saw him analyzing me. Closer I got, more intrigued he seemed. When I was almost next to him, he asked me if we have met before. He added that I had a familiar face. He continued inquiring if I had been at the clinic before, or if I have been one of his patients.
I laughed and told him we knew each other for a long time, that we went to the same high school. His eyes opened wide. He was surprised. Then all of the sudden he called me by my nickname.
